AUTOMOTIVE  ENGINEER – CRASH AND SAFETY:  Utilize CAE analysis tools to develop full system models in order to apply and evaluate for Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS), US New Car Assessment Program (US NCAP), and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) guidelines to system models, including the following:

o FMVSS 208, Occupant Crash Protection

o FMVSS 216A: Roof Crush Resistance

o FMVSS 214: Side Impact

o US NCAP: Frontal Impact Protection

o IIHS: Frontal Impact Protection

Apply LS-DYNA, Radioss, HyperMesh, HyperCrash, HyperView analysis codes during the evaluation and development of the vehicle; Utilize pre and post-processing of the models, materials expertise, modeling skills, FMVSS Safety requirements and test procedures to analyze safety simulations; Support physical testing and studies of the correlation between CAE and test.
